Probably There’s no Peace in Nigeria

No one needs to be told that the Nigerian society is bedeviled with so much disheartening events. Ranging from deceits from the political class, terrorism, sectionalism to insecurity.

A trending video of the birds released by the President (PMB) refusing to fly into the sky might seem just funny but, it’s quite significant to the extent of which it might be suggesting  that indeed there’s no iota of peace in the country. The idea is that if this birds fly high, it suggests there’s  peace and harmony in the country. However, no body really wants to look at the other side of this issue (what if these birds don’t fly as expected?)

The fact remains that most Nigerians see this event as one of the usual comedy of the day, and some people have made jokes while others have saturated the internet with lots of comments. To some the birds are angry because they know there’s no peace in the country while others attribute this event to the fact that the birds are upset for not being well fed but are expected to portray peace by flying high.

I’d sincerely advise that the entire Nigerian society(especially the political class) critically ponder over the trends of event popping up on daily bases.

Mr. Alhassan lamented that the controversial ethnic group had benefited little or nothing from the Nigerian federation, despite the emergence of President Muhammadu Buhari (of Fulani origin). “If everything busts (Nigeria disintegrates), it’s to the advantage of the herders because we are not even enjoying the federation,” Mr. Alhassan said. “We are even bidding for restructuring of the country; let every part go, so we can say this is where we are.” He added: “If the President is a Fulani, it doesn’t in any way affect the l...
